Injectable Fillers - Immediate Results

The wrinkles, folds and the furrows that are caused by ageing can be filled.

These filling products have various origins: animal, bacterial, human or synthetic substances. There is also a difference in the duration of the effects from these products; some have a temporary effect, others are semi-permanent and there are also permanent treatments.

In the majority of the cases, temporary or semi-permanent treatments are used, partly because they have the best safety record.

Injectable collagen (derived from calfskin) and the hyaluronic acid (derived from cockscombs or from bacteria) are generally used for a temporary filling of the wrinkles. The result is maintained from 3 to 6 months, after which it is necessary to repeat the treatment. In general, the material injected disappears more quickly in the areas which have an important muscular activity.

The result of the treatment is immediately visible and the possible side effects are of transitory nature.

There can be allergic reactions, primarily with the calf collagen, and due to this, a preventive allergy test is necessary.

The polymer injections of lactic acid or the injection of one’s own lipid cells tend to have a more durable cosmetic improvement and thus belong to the group of the semi-permanent products. If the filling product is combined with the botulinic toxin, the final result will be considerably reinforced.
